Ferme
Fermé, “Closed” in French, was a Montréal-based loungewear fashion brand created during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The name is a reference to the many “Closed” signs found in the windows of restaurants and shops throughout 2020 and 2021.
The project, a self-starting initiative from JOAN DESIGN’s Creative Director, was originally created to raise money for emergency services but transformed into a viral pop-up brand throughout the course of the pandemic years.
Designed within the four capsule collections were pieces designed to elevate the everyday: well-made intimates, cozy fleece, combed cotton socks and high quality graphic shirts and bags that spoke to the existential questions of the moment.
Complementing the clothing design was a custom crafted logo wordmark, a brand architecture that carried through all facets of the business, bespoke packaging, and several campaign photoshoots.
